LegalWorks invites attorneys to prayerfully discern what it means to practice law faithfully

Annual Day of Recollection explores founding principles of the apostolate

By Stu Nolan

LegalWorks Apostolate thanks all those who participated in our annual retreat for attorneys seeking to infuse their professional life with the teachings of their faith.

Led once again this year by Father Joseph Fox, Associate Pastor at Christendom College on loan from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC, attorneys, spouses, and other supporters of the mission of LegalWorks Apostolate gathered at a retreat center in White Post, Virginia, for a day of dialogue and reflection on what it means to consecrate one's law practice.

By all accounts, the discussion was provocative, and the insights of Father Fox into the profound teachings of Pope Paul VI in his encyclical, Humanae Vitae were extremely helpful in guiding all of the participants eager to define what it means to be a faithful legal practitioner.

Attorneys who were unable to participate but who wish to learn about the mission that animates LegalWorks Apostolate should feel welcome to contact us to learn more. Moreover, our next Day of Recollection is scheduled to take place on June 23, 2012. Save the date!
